You’re depraved. I’m just kinky.

We in the South have forgotten just how hateful and vicious pre-war Abolitionists were in their attacks on Southerners and the ancient practice of slavery. In a short period of time these descendants of the New England Puritans had decided that slavery was an evil, and being Yankees (New Englanders), everyone else had to immediately change their mind as well or risk hell or cannon fire. Persuasion, patience, and gradualism were not in their dictionary anymore than self-doubt. Like their forebear Oliver Cromwell, they were my-way-or-the-highway, and their cultural descendants, today’s radical Left, still are. The only difference is that now they are openly hostile to Christianity, having long ago shed any pretence of being Christian.

Now, I posit that whenever we hear a Leftist rail against anyone’s moral failings, we should immediately question the truth of the claim and be very slow to agree. For example, we hear stories about pedophilia being common in Afghanistan, that it is to some degree an accepted part of the culture. If true, that is simply horrible and should remind us that we humans can come to accept almost anything as legitimate. (Recall the ancient Phoenicians sacrificed infants and there are none too few examples of cannibalism being practiced throughout the history of man.)

In fairness to the Afghans though, the country is as big as France, as old as time, and so diverse as to make Southern blacks and whites look like fraternal twins. Maybe not all of them are what we in this country would still call perverted.

But it seems incongruous, nay, hypocritical that we Americans should be pointing out the perversions of anyone. In living memory we have cast off any stigma on pre-marital sex between post-adolescent men and women, and I bet there are plenty of Afghani hillfolk that would find that horrifying. Maybe there are layers or segments of Afghan culture that allow for men to hook up with boys, but we have legalised and declared legitimate two men marrying each other. Why is their peccadillo wrong and ours right?

Why are they depraved but we’re just kinky?

But mark my words that the legitimisation of homosexuality is a stepping stone to the legitimisation of pedophilia, and the theorists and drivers of the homosexual movement know it.

My assumption and hope is that, in spite of the hype, the legitimisation of homosexuality will eventually go the way of the legitimisation of abortion. That is to say, it is so unnatural and manifestly unhealthy that resistance to it will finally harden and grow, and that like abortion it will remain an abomination to a sizeable portion of the population who will remain inflexible in their opposition.

And this needs to happen. If it is indeed true that there are segments of Afghani culture where sodomising little boys is openly accepted, then those Afghans have already and maybe long since redefined child abuse. That is, they have convinced themselves that for a man to have sex with a boy is not harmful to the child, and thus will have no negative consequence on his development.

And this is the dream of the American pedophile, that his peccadillo, like sex out of wedlock, two men marrying, or a man pretending to be a woman, will finally be thought normal so that he too can come out of the shadows. Why should he be the only one that doesn’t get what he wants?
